Sunset Beach is a seaside village immediately to the north of Cape Town. Sunset Beach residents are blessed with exquisite views of Table Mountain and Robben Island. Besides its magnificent view, Sunset Beach is also well known for exciting activities, immaculate beaches as well as awesome waves. It is a hotspot for surfers, kitesurfers, kite boarding and boardsailing. Riding these large waves is only for the skilled and the brave. The entire area between Sunset Beach and Bloubergstrand is one long stretch of white sand. Therefore, when Blouberg is too crowded, many head to the open spaces between these two beaches to enjoy tranquillity and perfect swimming.
There are a wide variety of restaurants and pubs and the city centre of Cape Town is a mere 15 minutes drive away.
